Es handelt sich um Brunnen/Brunnenfelder zur zentralen Wasserversorgung, Brunnen/Brunnenfelder welche artesisch gespannte Grundwasserhorizonte erschließen, sowie Punkte zu Mineral- und Thermalwasservorkommen, welche auf Grund ihrer Ergiebigkeit, Nutzung oder geologischen Position von besonderer Bedeutung sind.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span&gt; Der Layer wird in einer alternativen Kodierungsform angeboten, die eine "verflachte" und teilweise vereinfachte Sicht im Vergleich zum häufig komplexen INSPIRE-Datenmodell bietet.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;/div&gt;</idAbs>

Die hydrogeologischen und wasserwirtschaftlichen Inhalte sind das Ergebnis umfangreicher Literaturrecherchen. Ziel war es, eine damals aktuelle und leicht verständliche Übersicht zu den hydrogeologischen Verhältnissen in Österreich zu vermitteln. Wie es bei dem Versuch zur Darstellung komplexer Verhältnisse häufig der Fall ist, können auch hier die lokalen Gegebenheiten von der vereinfachten Darstellung im Datensatz abweichen.</statement>
